The Swedish Institute Scholarship 2027 (SISGP) is a fully funded program that allows working professionals to study a full-time Master’s degree in Sweden for free. Funded directly by the Swedish government, it covers full tuition fees, living costs, and travel expenses for applicants. Eligibility is strictly limited to citizens of 34 eligible countries.
What Is the Swedish Institute Scholarship (SISGP)?
The SI Scholarship is run by SISGP, a Swedish government agency. It targets working professionals, not fresh graduates, who show leadership potential and a clear plan to contribute to sustainable development. About 300 scholarships are awarded each year across roughly 700 eligible English-taught master’s programs.

You must hold citizenship of one of these countries (residence isn’t required):

SI Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

University Admission: You must be admitted (or conditionally admitted) to an eligible, full-time master’s program in Sweden.
Work Experience: You need at least 3,000 hours of documented work experience (about 2 years of full-time work). Exception: Applicants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, or Ukraine don’t need a minimum number of hours, but must still provide proof of work.
Leadership Experience: You must prove your leadership abilities through previous employment or voluntary community involvement.
Citizenship & Residency Rules: You must not hold citizenship in Sweden, an EU country, or an EEA country. Additionally, you are ineligible if you already have a Swedish degree, have lived in Sweden for 2+ years, or previously won an SI scholarship.
